July 31, 2011-decided on Adoption Assistance Inc for our home study
August 4, 2011 -sent our home study application
August 7, 2011-received paper work from home study agency and assigned case worker
August 8, 2011 - received adoption agency application and requirements
August 18, 2011 - mailed our adoption application to Celebrate Children International!!
August 30, 2011 - received email that we are official clients for Celebrate Children International (CCI)
September 9, 2011 - mailed off signed contract with agency fees
September 13, 2011 - received receipt from CCI for agency fees
October 8, 2011- received a big box from CCI with continued education material
October 10, 2011- appointment with Doctor to get forms signed for home study and dossier
October 13, 2011 - Home study visit scheduled
October 20, 2011 - Second home study interviews
November 18, 2011 - applied for our passports
November 23, 2011 - received completed Home study
November 23, 2011 - mailed I600A application form to immigration
December 3, 2011 - received our passports in the mail
January 3, 2012 - fingerprinting appt in Nashville
January 3, 2012 - dossier documents authenticated at the state level
January 9, 2012 - mailed copies of dossier to adoption agency
January 10, 2012 - mailed documents to Washington DC for United States authentication
January 15, 2012 - documents mailed to Ethiopia for translation
January 30, 2012 - received completed I600A notification
February 1, 2012 - received our official #2!
February 15, 2012 - working on continued education requirements
February 19, 2012 - sent out donation requests letters
February 27, 2012 - received word there might be a baby girl available for us!!
March 23, 2012 - received the first picture of our baby girl!
March 25, 2012 - received her medical report
March 26, 2012 - documents are being gathered and translated
April 20, 2012 - sent paperwork to process travel visa's for Ethiopia
April 27, 2012 - received visa's back from Washington
June, 2012 - case was submitted to court
July 5, 2012 - left for court date
July 9, 2012-court date in Ethiopia!!
July 13, 2012 - returned home from court
July 26, 2012 - our case was submitted to the Embassy for review
August 14, 2012 - our case passed Embassy!!
August 18, 2012 - we left the US to pick up our daughter
August 22, 2012 - we landed in Nashville with our daughter, forever home!!!
